Oral Technical Assessment (Interviewers only)

Short summary:
A secure, interviewer-only course to guide and document the oral technical assessment for candidates applying to the Technical Data Engineer (EBX Developer) role at APGAR. The assessment evaluates Java programming, logical reasoning, and work-experience & leadership competencies through a structured, scored oral quiz.

Full description:
This course equips APGAR interviewers with a consistent, professional framework to conduct, record, and evaluate the oral technical assessment used for hiring Technical Data Engineers (EBX Developers). It is restricted to interviewer access only and forms part of APGAR’s formal recruitment process.

The assessment is divided into three focused sections:

  1. Java Programming — questions that probe core Java knowledge and practical skills (syntax, object-oriented design, exception handling, collections, etc...).

  2. Logical Reasoning & Problem Solving — short algorithmic and logic problems that assess analytical approach, decomposition, and real-time reasoning rather than implementation speed.

  3. Work Experience & Leadership — behavioral and situational questions to validate prior experience, decision making, collaboration, and leadership traits relevant to technical delivery and team interaction.

Interviewers are expected to:

  • Present questions in the provided order and record candidate responses directly in the assessment template.

  • Probe with targeted follow-ups when a deeper assessment of reasoning or decision-making is required.

  • Score each response using the standardized rubric (technical correctness, problem solving approach, communication clarity, and role-fit/leadership).

Assessment format & timing:
The oral quiz is intended to be delivered live and completed during the interview session. Typical duration: 20 – 35 minutes, depending on role seniority and depth of follow-ups. Scores captured here will be used by the hiring committee alongside other evaluation materials.

Confidentiality & use:
This course and its contents are for APGAR interviewer use only. All candidate responses are confidential and must be handled according to APGAR’s recruitment data-handling policies.
